In the conversation between Tyler and Tommy they used loads of linguistic features when speaking, an example of one they used is “kl” which in standard english it means “hello”. They used “kl” because they are familiar with the word, which the young generation use, and they also use “kl” because its shorter to use. An example of this is when using text language “kl” would be shorter than saying “hello”.
A paralinguistic feature in Tyler and Tommy conversation is “arrhh” which only Tyler used. An example of when Tyler used paralinguistic feature is when he said “Van Persi got a hatrick….Arrrhhh” the paralinguistic feature was”arrrhhh” beacsue its a sound not a word. Tyler made that sound “arrhhh” because he was amazed that Van Persi scored a hatrick in a football match against Manchester united and to help the conversation be more exciting and I think challenging.to tommy, it made tommy think that he should have watch that football match.
There are loads more linguistic and paralinguistic features in Tommy and Tyler’s conversation\transcript but they are roughly the same words, so I just gave an example on the two things that stranded out in Tyler and Tommy’s conversation.

Ahmar, this is a very good step in the right direction. I’m very pleased with what you’ve done here.
I would like to work with you after school (maybe Fridy) to give you a broader range of language effects to talk about in your writing. This piece is strong because it expresses both the language device and why people might use it as opposed to standard English.
See you tomorrow
